December 29, 1928 Headline: "Son of Mrs. Ross Killed" Text: The following dispatch under a Cheyenne, Wyoming, dateline and appearing in the daily papers of last Saturday will be of interest to the people of this community. A good many years ago, Mrs. Ross was a resident of Miltonvale, and is remembered by some of the older residents; Ambrose Ross, son of former Governor Nellie Tayloe Ross, of Wyoming, was killed when his car overturned on a hill just out of Saratoga, Wyoming, 100 miles west of here this evening at 6:30 o'clock, says a special to the Wyoming Tribune-Leader here. Ross, who was 25 years old, had been working as a traveling salesman for a stock feed concern and was making Saratoga as a part of his territory. He arrived in Saratoga this afternoon, and he and John Paulsen, a former companion at the University of Wyoming, went out together in Ross's light roadster on what is known as 'Bench,' between Saratoga and Encampment. The trip was made in the face of a biting sleetstorm. The sleet froze and the return trip was over a treacherous road. On the hill leading to the main street of Saratoga, the car overturned, throwing Paulsen clear, but pinning Ross underneath. He was dead when extricated."
